Athletes Can Now Become Entrepreneurial Superstars, and Obsesh and Canyon Ceman Are Here to Help Them Do Just That
Athletes have been around for centuries and their influence on the human race is undeniable. They’ve impacted culture, changed and challenged history, and have always been considered some of the most influential people around the world. Their stories are captivating. Their message is timeless. Their athleticism inspires the world to do more, be more, and live better. But we already knew that. What we didn’t know was just how important this would be for a small subset of the population– a subset of people who have automatic, ever-loyal fans wanting a deeper look at their lives, their stories, and their talents and skills, and are willing to pay to do so: Athletes. Athletes are in a position now more than ever to flourish into entrepreneurial superstars, using social media platforms, brand partnerships, and the leading sports marketplace for Athletes, Obsesh.
Obsesh is leading the sports marketplace platform for Athletes, and our new Chief Athlete Officer, Canyon Ceman, is confident this will be the biggest next revolution for Athletes to change the face of sports for the next ‘digital’ generation.
To say Ceman comes from a background suited for Obsesh would be an understatement. He played DI collegiate volleyball and 15 years of pro beach volleyball, and for the past 10 years, worked as the SVP of Talent Development at WWE, where he helped build a world-class talent development system that changed the game for athletes, and contributed to the women’s empowerment movement in WWE. He has an unprecedented combination of athletic, business, and talent skills that fit the athlete-centric Company. Simply put, there is no better person to support female athletes and all athletes on Obsesh in becoming the entrepreneurial powerhouses that they aspire to be.
“For the past 10 years, I had the honor and pleasure of working as SVP of Talent Development, under Paul “Triple H” Levesque, to lead the WWE’s efforts towards professionalization and globalization of athlete acquisition and development. We built a world class talent development system and WWE Performance Center that changed the game for athletes and aspiring Superstars from around the world. When I look back at my legacy there, I will always be most proud of our contributions to the Women’s empowerment movement in WWE. It was built on a culture of respect and support, and produced countless Global Superstars, including six-time WWE Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and SmackDown Superstar and WWE Women’s Grand Slam Champion Sasha Banks.”
“Canyon has an unprecedented combination of athleticism, globalization, business acumen, and talent development skills having managed and grown his own career and thousands of niche Athletes, especially as a builder of the WWE global brands and talent. This appointment is the culmination of a months-long process of aligning our vision, mission, and go-to market. Our vision is big and it’s important for billions of sports fans too. By creating a powerhouse ecosystem to help all Athletes monetize, manage, and grow their own business as solopreneurs, we give fans what they want – access to expertise and inspiration that inspires them to achieve their dreams too.” said Obsesh CoFounder and CEO Tracy Benson.
