After making the transition from wrestling to mMA fighting, Jerald Spohn has plenty of advice to give
Jerald Spohn comes from a small town in Ohio, and he’s proud of that fact. Fighting with the cheers of them behind him, he’s looking to make a difference in MMA. At the same time, he’s also trying to prove to those back home that anything is possible if you work hard at it. And work hard he has.
Despite coming from a town of 5,000 people, Jerald wrestled his way into the eyes of a recruiter from Kent State University. After finishing his wrestling career, he took off six months from being an athlete to see how normal people live. Spohn not only disliked it, but was pulled back into being an athlete by attending an MMA fight. From there, he was hooked on the sport and has been training hard ever since.
All of the hard work paid off on May 28th of this year, when Spohn won his first professional fight via rear naked chokehold.
