California-based sports marketplace platform startup Obsesh has raised an undisclosed amount of pre-seed funding from lead Stadia Ventures, Nations Ventures, Chad Hurley, Founder & Former CEO of Youtube, Members of Greater NY HBS Angels, plus executives from sports media, entertainment, and more.
Founded in 2019, Stadia Ventures first invested in world class entrepreneurs through its accelerator, Tracy Benson (CEO) and Jonalyn Morris (Chief Talent Officer), looking to make it accessible for athletes to thrive through equitable opportunities and monetize their talent / skills. The Obsesh sports marketplace platform brings an unique combination of personalized skills, real-time coaching, and technical skills coaching straight to you from your favorite athletes through video-based messaging and pro feedback.
To date, the Obsesh talent marketplace includes a growing roster of Olympic, Independent, Team, Action Sports, and eSports athletes. They are preparing for the NCAA ruling set to begin unlocking early July 2021.
Obsesh is building the most powerful creator marketplace for sports. Current products include the talent marketplace and a suite of video-based messaging products.
Adding to their current team are Athlete Success Coaches Pauls Pujats, Dalton Allison, and Gabe Ravetz; Scout Scott Garber; plus Social Media Specialist Madison Irving.
